dinner & a movie

If you haven’t noticed, renting a movie is not as cheap as it used to be.  A trip to Blockbuster for a few movies can add up to $15.  Yowzer.  While Netflix is a great alternative, you can’t always know a few days in advance what you’ll be in the mood for.

Solution?  The moviecube.  A delightful movie-vending machine that spits out movies like they’re candy and cola.  For only a buck, the movie is yours for a whole 24 hours.  The options are somewhat limited, but they carry a ton of new releases and classic chick flicks. For locations, visit their site or check out your local grocery store.

takeaway: Every little bit counts - even the $4 you’ll save using moviecube.

total yearly savings: About $50.
