free lunch and dinner?

Burger

Love it!

Yesterday a colleague treated a few staff, including myself, to a lovely lunch at a local country club. One the delightful girls I work with ordered a turkey burger, and when it arrived, promptly cut the burger in half and moved one half to the edge of her plate. I’ve been to lunch with her once before, where she’d done the exact same thing.

She says it serves a few purposes. One, it helps her from overeating - meal portions are so large, that you rarely need to eat the entire meal, but we often do, simply because it’s there. The other, more frugally minded purpose, is that it allows her to eat a free dinner as well!

Two meals for the price of . . . . nothing!  This is a delicious tip that I hope to use myself very soon.

ps. I think the trick is setting half of it aside at the beginning of the meal. You can always take it one step further and have your waiter bring a to go box at the start of your meal.
