new series: mannequin mondays

Posted by Monica on March 9, 2009 at 1:28 pm in mannequin monday

From now on, Living Large on Less will have a new Monday feature: mannequin jacketmonday’s. I thought it’d be fun to feature some of amazing deals I’ve snagged on various clothing items over the years.

Today, it’s this Marc Jacobs military style blazer.  Original retail price is $388.00.  I bought it at Alexis Suitcase, my very favorite consignment store in Atlanta.  They were originally offering it for $79.00, but then it went half off.  I bought it with an additional 20% off coupon, so the grand total was $31.60.

Total savings: $356.40.

ps - I’m not a huge Marc Jacobs fan, though I did love this blazer. If you are, definitely check out Alexis Suitcase.  They seem to get great Marc Jacobs merchandise in all the time.

restaurant

Eating out this weekend? Be sure to check restaurant.com before you head out the door.

Now through Monday, March 9, you can get $25 gift certificates for only $5 - a 50% savings! Just enter the code “CHEF” at the checkout and hit “apply.”

If you don’t think you can spend the (typically) required $35 at the restaurant, why not bring along two friends? You can split the bill and the savings, which makes for a inexpensive night out for everyone. As another alternative, they offer $10 gift certificates, which usually require only $20 in spending. While they don’t advertise it, those certificates will also be 50% off.

Bon appetit!

Yesterday, I received a check in the mail for $180. It took me a grand total of 30 minutes over a 90 day period to make that money.
Depending on your income, $180 may or may not be a large sum of money to you.
Regardless of your income, you should be interested in getting $180 [...]
